OneStaff are proud to be pioneers for this certification and to work with the RCSA as part of their pilot program for StaffSure in New Zealand.

StaffSure is a new certification scheme aimed at making it simple for businesses, Government and workers to partner with a range of reputable service providers that can supply workers across a broad range of industries. The open unregulated marketplace for workforce services has resulted in loopholes where some unscrupulous labour contractors have had the ability to exploit their workers while minimising their contribution and accountability. The manipulation of these loopholes and the unethical practices undertaken have all contributed to a bad reputation for the industry at large as a result of the actions of a few. Furthermore, as organisations and their clients become more aware of their supply chain, greater transparency and assurance is now needed to ensure the integrity of organisations in the workforce supply sector.

StaffSure is a first step in external certification across a broad range of requirements to ensure that services provided are compliant with legislation, the adherence and advancement of worker rights, and by providing some assurance around the credibility, sustainability, and competency of Recruitment providers to be able to provide services with integrity and the proper safeguards in employment conditions (Financial processes, Employment Rights, Health and Safety, Human Rights, and good administrative process). While it is general in its overview and starts at a higher level at inception, it is designed to be evolving and we look forward to the certifications development over time and building detail into the expectations of best practice for different sectors of the recruitment industry.

We are very supportive to providing greater certainty around the expectations business, employees and job seekers should have from us and the wider industry, and delighted to be part of an initiative that supports the integrity of the professional staffing industry and the helps prevent the exploitation of workers.
