[Changes to ACC Programme]

Good afternoon,

Since 1 October 2014, OneStaff (Christchurch) has been part of the ACC Accredited Employers Programme. Our being party to this agreement meant that OneStaff was responsible for the management and funding of workplace injury claims for all workers out of our Christchurch branch.

OneStaff have made the decision to exit this programme as of 31 March 2018. This means all OneStaff employees are now covered for workplace injuries directly by ACC, as per most employees in New Zealand. This decision does not affect any of your entitlements should you have a workplace injury. It simply means the management of this claim will now be performed by ACC directly.

This decision has been made in an effort to have a uniform process for how these claims are managed by OneStaff nationwide.

Previously, OneStaff had preferred medical providers (Moorhouse Medical, Riccarton Clinic and Pegasus Medical) and were able to pay for any surcharges incurred. This is no longer the case. OneStaff are unable to pay for any of these surcharges and any costs incurred will need to be discussed directly with ACC. OneStaff still value these providers and believe they are a great option for our staff to see without appointment, but are unable to assist financially.

This exit from this programme does not change OneStaff’s emphasis and priority on Health and Safety and Injury Prevention. As previously communicated, it remains paramount that OneStaff are informed immediately of any work-related injuries (0800 178 233), so that the injury management processes can be initiated promptly.

If you have any further questions regarding OneStaff being a part of the ACC Partnership Program.me, please do not hesitate to contact me directly on 021 589 555.
