Southern Motorway Improvements Begin

Major work has commenced on a $268 million New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) project to improve safety, journey reliability and the movement of people and freight on Auckland’s State Highway 1 Southern Motorway between Manukau and Papakura.

Construction Begins on a New Luxury Hotel in Auckland

Construction on the new $200 million five-star Park Hyatt hotel at Auckland’s Wynyard Quarter has officially started, with a groundbreaking ceremony attended by Prime Minister John Key launching the build.

Located on the former Team New Zealand site on Halsey St, the seven-storey hotel is funded by Hong Kong investment company Fu Wah International Group, and is one of the largest foreign investments in New Zealand tourism infrastructure.
