Matt Scoble, our Area Manager of Hamilton and the Waikato region for OneStaff joins us with an update on some of the current projects taking place, plus he provides his take on the most sought after roles in Hamilton and the wider Waikato area.
Waikato Market Overview
Following on from last year’s Market Overview, Matt suggests that quite a lot has changed across the region. He comments on the tight labour market across the area, which is providing lots of employment opportunities yet there is a real shortage of people looking for work in the region.
He goes on to comment on a number of ways that OneStaff are counteracting this; there is an increase in training opportunities available in Hamilton at the moment, and OneStaff is proactively engaging with a number of training organisations.
The future of OneStaff in Hamilton looks extremely positive. With a strength in trades, construction and manufacturing sectors, there are many notable projects that Matt and his team are working on as growth within the region continues. Matt also comments on future projects heading to the region, such as the land ports, which will create numerous prospects across the region. In addition, the team are also developing more opportunities in new sectors, most notably the office and corporate space.
