Steve Humphrey, OneStaff’s Area Manager for Wellington joins us with an update on changes since our last overview, the current projects, the most in-demand roles across the region and what lies ahead for the region.
Wellington Market Overview
Following on from our last overview with Steve, a lot has changed within the Wellington region. Steve comments on the vast growth that has taken place across the construction and roading sectors. He also discusses what changes the region has seen since the recent earthquakes.
Steve goes on to discuss the most in-demand roles in the region. With so much happening there are plenty of opportunities for those looking to develop their careers in Wellington, with a mix of temporary and permanent roles available.
With new construction developments as well as the restructuring of buildings following the earthquakes, there are plenty of long and short-term projects taking place. Steve states that the most notable are the car park and new tower development at Wellington Airport, providing significant opportunities. Steve is also seeing a lot of long-term projects, such as Transmission Gully and Queensgate, get underway within the Wellington region.
