Yesterday has been a busy day for OneStaff. We were delighted to attend JobFest at the Cloud on Queens Wharf! Two of our amazing team members, Ellyse Crosswell and Angela Chan Chui, had an early start to the day. Setting up our stall and preparing for the arrival of 2,000 young jobseekers, we could feel the buzz of the day start to kick in.

In order to help people find us, we had special T-shirts prepared – as well as a giant selfie frame – but that’s not all. We also had a number of giveaways at our booth, including the chance to win five sets of double cinema tickets as well as a GoPro pack complete with tripod and case! So, if you saw bundles of bright blue balloons, fun competitions and people taking a lot of selfies you were probably close to our booth. One of the biggest highlights of the day was a surprise visit from the Mayor of Auckland, Len Brown. It was great to have his support for what we do best, which is connecting great people with great opportunities.
Hot tips on how to break into the Construction industry
Around noon, our very own Steve Burrows took the microphone and shared practical advice on how to break into the construction industry. He had some hot tips to share, including the opportunities that are available right now and how to stand out from the crowd when you have no experience.
