Round the Bridge - Update from OneStaff Waikato | OneStaff

As you may know already, OneStaff Waikato’s Melissa Whyte and I are participating in Hamilton’s most iconic fundraising run, Round the Bridges in November! We’ve been busy training our muscles for the upcoming 12km run. We were also lucky enough to receive free membership from Flagstaff Fitness, which has been a great help.

Unfortunately, I fell ill and was injured during the second week of training, but as soon as I recovered, we picked up the pace again fairly quickly! To compensate for the break, we had two gym sessions in a row, one on the 24th August and again at 5:30am the following morning. We managed to complete one more run before finishing the day to give us that extra boost.

We’ve been making great progress since. Just last night, we finished our second 10km run of the week within an hour! I also lost a considerable amount of weight, which I am very happy with.
