OneStaff’s Lisa Wales Climbs Her Everest

February 20, 2018 0 comments

The Bay of Plenty’s Mount Everest Challenge is back and Onestaff Tauranga’s Lisa Wales isn’t just raising her heart rate for fun, she’s raising it for charity too.

Lisa has signed up to climb the Mount 38 times in 50 days (the equivalent of walking up Mount Everest!) and is excited to be raising money for the very deserving Waipuna Hospice, which supports patients living with chronic illnesses and their families.

So far Lisa has raised over $500 and has no regrets about getting up at 5am each day: “You feel like you’re the only one there,” she said. “But I’m there with my husband and then you look around and see all these other little torches, and there’s all these other people doing it and it’s really cool.

“For me, it was a massive incentive to get off my bum and do something; get fit again and raise money for the hospice which is just clearly a wonderful, wonderful place that helps people out.”

If you want to support Lisa head to her Givealittle page to donate today.
