This year’s Saint Clair Vineyard Half Marathon has yet again helped raised awareness and donations for Bowel Cancer New Zealand.
At the time of writing, the event was expected to raise over $35,000 for this worthy cause.
This was my first time at the event, and I would strongly recommend taking part to anyone who wants an excuse to escape away to a beautiful part of the country, especially if you enjoy sampling fruit from the local viticulture industry.
I’ve already committed to taking part next year and I would advise anyone looking to join me, to book early as the event now attracts 3,400 runners and walkers. Not bad for something that started 10 years ago, with only 200 entries!
