On the 5th of March, the Hawke’s Bay OneStaff team went down to the Hawke’s Bay Regional Sports Park to run in the Relay For Life event and raise money for the New Zealand Cancer Society.
While there was a definite focus on the running and the cause that brought everyone to Relay For Life, there were plenty of extra activities and festivities to enjoy on the day. There was face-painting for the kids, plenty of options for food and even live music throughout the event.
Overall it was an incredible day with over hundreds of people coming together on the day to raise more than $100,000.
“It was really amazing to be a part of such a great cause,” said Hawke’s Bay Area Manager, Megan Nicholson “We took down the whole team, and our kids, and it was just awesome to be involved in.”
