You may have recently heard the story of Maddie Collins, a 12-year-old girl in Canterbury who was diagnosed with a life-threatening kidney disease in 2009. Because of New Zealand’s small population and the antibodies she has developed, Maddie has just a 2% chance of finding a donor match within our country. In order to increase her chances, her family needs to raise $350,000 for a transplant in the United States.

Our heart goes out to Maddie and her family during what must be an immensely difficult time. To help raise the money Maddie needs, OneStaff has have decided to participate in the national fundraising event ‘Mufti Day for Maddie’ by organising our own mufti day on the 16th of September.

If you’d like to get to know Maddie Collins a little better, or would like to find out about other ways to help, please follow Maddie’s Facebook page here. For more about the ‘Mufti Day for Maddie’ initiative, and to organise your own Mufti Day, click here for all the details.
