Fletcher buys Higgins

Fletcher Building has paid $315m for Higgins Group Holdings, New Zealand’s third largest road construction and maintenance company. They have also announced that they will be restructuring into five divisions.

Auckland Airport

Auckland International Airport has started work on a $180 million development that will double the size of its international departure lounge.

The plan also includes connecting the domestic terminal to the international terminal, construction of a second runway by 2025 and building rail transport infrastructure.

Something a Little Bit Ridiculous

A Saudi Arabian project to build the world’s tallest tower is a step closer.

More funding was secured for the Jeddah Tower – previously known as the Kingdom Tower – in December when the developer Jeddah Economic Company signed a deal with Alinma Investment, taking the overall fund from an estimated NZ$1.6 billion to $3.2b.
